SCOTIABEACH 2024 Season We are very excited to start planning for our 2024 Season. ScotiaBeach is the longest running beach volleyball club in Nova Scotia run by the 2022 Women's Canada Games Beach Coach. Training is scheduled for every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evening from 4pm to 6pm between end of May and beginning of August. Coaching support for Nationals is also available depending in number of players interested in going (additional fee). Ideally participants will register with a partner. However players actively looking for partners are welcome. If you’re serious about beach volleyball, you’ll want to take advantage of this great opportunity! The club trains at the Volleyball Nova Scotia beach park, 261 Commodore Drive, Burnside, NS. Fees - a $200 deposit is required to hold an athletes spot for the season. The remainder is due first week of training with no refunds after the start of the program. CLUB DEPOSITS AND FEES There are no refunds for club dues or club fees paid to ScotiaBeach. Once you commit to one of our services and submit your first payment, we assume that you are planning on seeing your commitment through to the end. Likewise, you should assume that ScotiaBeach and it’s staff will hold it’s commitment to you throughout the entire duration of the season. ScotiaBeach will incur costs based on registered players that are non-refundable. Due to the fact that, in most cases, our investments and purchases on behalf of our players are non-refundable, it should be expected that your fees and dues paid to us are also non-refundable. Like most sports, volleyball is a big commitment of both time and financial resources. Please consider all aspects of commitment before signing up and/or making your initial payment. Getting Prepared for Beach Season. Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather. We will train in most weather, wind and rain. We would only cancel if there is heavy rainfall or lightning in the forecast or a combination of cold weather (10 degrees mark) and raining. We have found this is often too cold for the athletes. In cooler weather layer!!! Layers and bring an assortment of clothing so you can layer up or down. If it’s raining, you may want a change of clothes for the ride home. Things to consider packing for cooler weather - tights, long sleeves, hoodies and you may want to have socks. If it raining you may want dry clothes for the ride home. Don’t forget sunglasses and sunscreen! |
